Our story

Founded in December 2021 by Sarah Martellina, Agence Sarah M is based in north-eastern France, 3 km from the most beautiful square in Europe.

Sarah Martellina has more than ten years of experience in managing models.

She chose to stay independent and human-sized, so as to apply the values she holds dear towards her models and her clients: respect, kindness and integrity. She pays particular attention to the models' collective agreement and to staying close to the people she represents.

Sarah M specialises in the commercial and advertising side of the profession, with a deliberately diverse board: models and actors of every body type and every style.

Aware that her clients' needs keep changing, the agency is constantly looking for new profiles, across France and beyond, to grow its wide board of models and actors.

Your casting, step by step

  1. We receive your brief

    Based on your client's request and your brief, we put together a selection of profiles and send it to you by email.

  2. Your shortlist

    You shortlist the profiles that best embody and represent your client.

  3. Availability and additional material

    We check the availability of the shortlisted talent and ask them for the additional material you need:

    • Introduction video
    • Self-tape
    • Photo of the day
    • Polas

    As soon as we receive it, we send you everything.

  4. Options and confirmation

    Torn between two or three profiles? We place an option: the talent stays available on the given dates for a few more days. As soon as you confirm a profile, we prepare:

    • Employment contract
    • Image rights agreement
    • DPAE
    • Payslip

  5. Invoicing

    Once the job is done, we send you the invoice.

The legal framework, and what you are entitled to ask for

Modelling is a regulated profession in France. A few landmarks, whether you work with us or with another agency.

The model agency licence

Placing models requires a licence issued by the French authorities. It is displayed, it can be checked, and it is what separates an agency from a structure that merely looks like one. Ours appears at the foot of every page on this site.

The financial guarantee

Our models' pay is covered by a financial guarantee. In practice, were the agency to fail, the sums owed to models would still be paid. It is a legal requirement, and it is also the first thing to ask any agency about.

Image rights

A model's pay has two components: the posing fee, which pays for working time, and the image exploitation royalty, which pays for the use made of the photographs. The second depends on the media, the territory and the duration agreed.

This site applies the same rule to itself: a profile stays online only while the corresponding release is valid. Past that date, the profile leaves the catalogue without anyone having to remember to remove it.
